Simon is a professor of international economics at the University of St. Gallen. His research interests lie in the field of International Trade. Over the past years, Simon has developed the Global Trade Alert a unique dataset that systematically collects and harmonizes information on state interventions related to international trade and migration. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
